Booking Terms
These terms apply when you book flights or accommodation in-app through Acumon Holiday Planner. They sit alongside our Terms of Service and Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Who you are contracting with
- Your travel (your flight or hotel stay) is supplied by the airline or accommodation provider, not by us. Your travel contract for that service is with them, on their conditions of carriage / booking conditions.
- We act as an intermediary that arranges the booking on your behalf through our booking provider, Duffel Ltd.
- Payment / merchant of record. Card payments are taken and processed by Duffel Ltd as merchant of record. Your card statement and any payment dispute (chargeback) are handled accordingly.
Prices, availability & confirmation
- Prices and availability are live and can change until the booking is confirmed. The price you pay is the one shown on the final confirmation step, rebuilt server-side from a fresh quote at that moment.
- A booking is only confirmed when you receive a confirmation reference. Occasionally a provider may reject a booking after payment is attempted; if so, no contract is formed and any authorised amount is released or refunded.
- Indicative prices shown earlier in planning are estimates and are not an offer.
Your responsibilities
- Accurate traveller details. Names must match passports/ID exactly. Airlines often charge for, or refuse, name changes. You are responsible for the details you enter for every traveller, and confirm you are authorised to provide them.
- Travel documents. You are responsible for valid passports, visas, and any health entry requirements for everyone travelling.
- Schedule checks. Reconfirm flight times and check-in / check-out details directly with the provider before you travel.
Airline (flight) disclosures
- The airline’s conditions of carriage govern your flight and your rights on it.
- Schedule changes, delays, and cancellations are handled by the airline. Where applicable, air-passenger-rights rules (such as UK261 / EC261) may entitle you to assistance or compensation directly from the airline.
- Baggage allowances, seat selection and extras are set and priced by the airline.
- Tickets are typically issued in the traveller names provided and may be non-transferable.
Accommodation (hotel) disclosures
- The accommodation provider’s booking conditions and house rules apply to your stay.
- Some charges (city/tourist tax, resort fees, deposits) may be payable locally and are not always included in the price shown.
- Check-in/check-out times, occupancy limits, and cancellation windows are set by the property.
Financial protection
The travel-regulatory protection that applies depends on what you book and how it’s combined. Standalone flights and standalone accommodation are sold as individual travel services. If a combination amounts to a package or a linked travel arrangement under the Package Travel Regulations, additional protections (and any applicable ATOL protection for flight-inclusive packages) may apply.
Bookings made for a group
An organiser may book on behalf of the group. If you book for others, you confirm you have their authority to provide their details and to accept these terms and the provider’s conditions on their behalf, and you are responsible for payment.
Sandbox / test bookings
When the Service runs in test mode, bookings are made against the booking provider’s sandbox using test data and test cards. No real travel is reserved and no real money changes hands; such bookings are clearly labelled in the app.
